Here's a great resource for any of your candidates who work in homes with pets (which is just about everyone), the American Red Cross Pet First Aid courses and materials. If they don't live near a Red Cross that has classes, they can order the books/videos online, they are very inexpensive and a great way for learning how to handle pet emergencies:  Pet Emergency Help
